Viewing and Managing Prompts

The Prompts Dashboard provides an at-a-glance overview of all the prompts used in your system. From here, you can drill into individual prompts to manage their configuration, track performance, and collaborate with your team.

Accessing the Prompts Dashboard

  1. Open Datograde and navigate to Prompts in the left-hand sidebar.
  2. The Prompts Dashboard displays:
    • Total number of prompts in your system.
    • Summary statistics (e.g., average cost, latency, and execution frequency).
    • A list of recently updated or most-used prompts.

Managing Individual Prompts

  1. Search and Filter Prompts:

    • Use the search bar to locate prompts by name or keyword.
    • Apply filters for tags (e.g., summarization, sentiment_analysis) or metrics (e.g., high_cost).
  2. View Prompt Details:

    • Click on a prompt to open its details view, where you can:
      • Review the current version of the prompt text.
      • See execution logs, including inputs and outputs.
      • Access performance metrics.
  3. Archive or Delete Prompts:

    • If a prompt is no longer in use, archive it to retain historical data while keeping your workspace clean.
    • To permanently delete a prompt, select it and click Delete. Note: This action cannot be undone.

Organizing Prompts with Tags

  1. Assign tags to prompts during creation or editing (e.g., draft, production, high_priority).
  2. Use tags to:
    • Categorize prompts by functionality or status.
    • Create filtered views for specific teams or workflows.
